Gamers can get access to Doom and exclusive Team Fortress 2 items

Video game developer MachineGames, publisher Bethesda and Valve have announced that Wolfenstein: The New Order is now offered for pre-order on the Steam digital distribution service for all fans who want to make sure that they are ready to play it as soon as it is launched.

Gamers who pay for it before the official release date will get access to a set of exclusive Wolfenstein-themed items to use in Team Fortress 2 and a chance to take part in the upcoming beta testing phase for Doom.

The companies state, "Intense, cinematic and rendered in stunning detail with id Software’s id Tech 5 engine, Wolfenstein sends players across Europe on a personal mission to bring down the Nazi war machine."

Wolfenstein: The New Order is designed to use classic first-person shooter mechanics that have been adapted to the requirements of modern gamers and the developers are also aiming to introduce complex story sequences to explore.

MachineGames has said that it wants to capture the spirit of the series and deliver an action-packed experience.

The title will be launched on the Xbox One from Microsoft, the PlayStation 4 from Sony, the PC and current-gen consoles on May 20 all over the world.
