MachineGames has confirmed that Wolfenstein: The New Order, its upcoming first-person shooter, has the five classic difficulty modes from the original Wolfenstein 3D, including the most challenging "I Am Death Incarnate" one.

Wolfenstein: The New Order takes the first-person shooter franchise into a new direction, imagining a parallel history where the Nazis won World War II and began to create new types of war machines.

According to the game's Senior Gameplay Designer, Andreas Ojerfors, who talked with GameSpot, the new title will be quite challenging on all of its five difficulty modes that were imported from Wolfenstein 3D.

For players who want the biggest challenge, however, MachineGames has taken extra care with the toughest "I Am Death Incarnate" mode, which will be "difficult but fair."

Ojerfors highlighted that the mode won't cheat players and that when they die it will be because of their own actions.
