14 DAY TRIAL // A video captured on a mobile phone by one of the members of the American Olympics team in Sochi, showed a wolf roaming casually on the hall of a local hotel where the athletes were staying. Titled “Epic #SochiFail,” the video quickly became viral and numbered close to 2 million views.
However, it's now emerging that the video shot by American luger Kate Hansen is nothing more than an elaborate hoax by TV presented Jimmy Kimmel. The Orlando Sentinel reports that the entire affair was orchestrated by Kimmel, who is also responsible for another famous faking, the “Epic Twerk Fail.”
Kimmel apparently played off the controversy surrounding the 2014 Sochi Olympics, which have appeared in the media in the last couple of days. Athletes and members of the press complained about the poor conditions in Sochi with unfinished hotel rooms, malfunctioning appliances and even stray dogs roaming the Olympic village.
Media outlets are now reporting that the video is indeed a hoax and that Hansen, the supposed author of the video, is going to appear via Skype on the Jimmy Kimmel show tonight and reveal the entire ruse.
