Today's video on YouTube shows the story of Autumn, a woman who came to "America's Next Top Model" in a desperate attempt to salvage as much as she could from her relationship with the man who's baby she's had. The reason behind the desperate mother's action was the game World of Warcraft. Autumn's exact words were:
"I'm so fed up with this game WoW."

Apparently, Shawn - Autumn's boyfriend and father of the child - was hooked on the game so bad that the couple were missing out on life's most important events (birthdays for instance), because of it. In fact, Shawn was late even getting to the hospital when his girlfriend was in labor. Keep in mind, he was fully aware of what was going on at the time.

Later on in the show, Tyra introduced Dr Gary who then had a word with the father. He asked the man what made him so addicted to the game that he had been late for "the most important moment of his life." He said he was scared, but definitely was not telling the whole truth as he never admitted his addiction to the game until the doctor actually ripped the words out of his mouth. And who's to say that it was the most important moment of his life. It clearly wasn't as he used to sleep on the couch instead of sleeping in the same bed with his girfriend.

To make things right again for the two young people and their child, the host of the show brought a shredder on the set to actually destroy the WoW CD's, which was clearly something just for the fans. WoW addicted Shawn shredded the last CD of the game and everyone hugged and kissed so nice... It was better than the movies I tell you.

this is absolutely rediculous... first of all the game doesn't require the discs to play HAHAHAHA, only to install it. Enjoy having a bad husband/father, He simply does not love the woman or child, trust me... you can put the game down.

quit bashing games and get a life. you'll always lose this fight.

I agree with Ry. The young father could actually just download the wow installer from blizzard to reinstall the game. I think it would have been better instead of going on national TV is for them to see a family therapist. It is pretty obvious that his thinking is a bit irrational. And he has to learn how to man up to his parental responsibilities. You have to put wow into the perspective of a pastime or hobby, which has it set limits and boundaries. I consider it a way to relax and Raid Night could be known to some in other pastimes as either bowling night or poker night with the boys. But really guys and some of you girls, if you're playing this game too much, get a clue and get some air. And if you need help, there are plenty of resources on the Internet as well as your local phone book. Don't be a noob about your mental health!
