One should not mistake it for a mere mousepad or desk decoration

Touch-enabled monitors and all-in-one PCs are nice and all, but they are awkward to use, or so we think. Logitech agrees with us, or at least wants to console those who do not own such displays.

The company has introduced the Wireless Rechargeable Touchpad T650, which is exactly what it says on the tin: a touchpad similar to those found on laptops, only larger.

It will permit buyers to interact with the Windows 8 Style user interface, as it supports all the gestures and commands in the new operating system (three-finger swiping and pinch-to-zoom included).

As a bonus, you will never have to worry about fingerprints and smudges marring your precious monitor.

Logitech will ship the Wireless Rechargeable Touchpad T650 later this month (October 2012), for $80 / 80 Euro.

When the item stops relaying the commands properly, it means the battery is getting too weak to sustain the wireless connection, so you'll have to connect the USB cable instead, at least until the energy is replenished.
