Nethercom proudly presents... BIG

The future of networking is put in a new light, and the introduction of this method seems as simple as it is efficient. Nethercomm claims a Terabit wireless link will be available, and the service will be BIG (broadband through gas). The natural gas flow and radio signals co-exist uninterrupted and cannot blow up.

No interference from other wireless networks is obvious. And you will only need a receiver box (said to cost 200$). Speeds up to 6 Gb/s are also predicted.

Trials are taking place in San Diego, Chicago and Atlanta. Development test facility includes "Test & Pilot site & local PUC". They illustrate the ability to convey even weak, narrow-band radio frequency transmissions. This research was performed at the Batelle Institute and substantiates that natural gas pipelines currently contain useful spectrum that is capable of supporting the transmission of radio signals.
