The trousers recharge your phone as you go on your way wherever

Pants are an article of clothing that keep your lower body warm and shielded from the eyes of others. Soon, though, they will have a third role (well, fourth if you count “fashionability” as a third reason): recharging your smartphone.

You heard it right, Nokia has created a pair of wireless charging pants. Which is to say, pants that have wireless charging technology embedded into the pockets.

A. Sauvage collaborated with Nokia, making sure the things actually look good and, of course, aren't liable to go up in flames along with your, ahem, important body parts.

Nokia didn't even have to wonder too much about how to make the wireless charging technology work either. It just took a Nokia DC-50 charging plate, took it apart and integrated it into the fabric.

Alas, no clue exists as to what provides the trousers with energy, or if the pockets will be warmer than they should be because of the technology. Maybe some sort of mechanical charging technique will be used (harness energy from the movement of the legs). Or maybe they'll use the heat somehow? You never know with scientists.

Or maybe you'll have to recharge your pants via USB. It would make for a really hilarious view, if nothing else.
