They're coming at higher rates each passing month. The wireless sound systems that is. From my point of view, I guess they will keep on appearing until something new comes in as the wireless technology looks like one of the most popular and at the same time promising things at hand.

AudioVox, through its Acoustic Research Branch have entered (or at least plan to) the consumer-class products world once with the emerging new tech spreading more and more. Renowned for their PA and installation audio equipment, AudioVox have quite a tradition behind them; maybe it's because of this I feel like trusting the new product.

Acoustic Research threatens us with a hi-end, state-of-the-art sound system, the announced WHT6024. Its satellites will run on voice-matched 3" drivers aided by 1/2" tweeters, all in an aluminum enclosure with strengthened resistance. I can't tell if the subwoofer is made of aluminum or wood (no specs yet) but the manufacturer claims it's a 10" , 125W compression driver. The rear cabs are powered by a 50W amp each so it really looks like we're gonna have a blaster!

The wireless transmission will be in the (already classical) 2.4GHz range and it will sport Quality of Sound (QOS) circuitry such as to ensure your listening sessions will not be perturbed by cordless phones, microwave ovens or specific computer networks. The WHT6024 will blast between 20Hz and 20 KHz so you're in for some quite good sonic experience.

Since the rear speakers are mounted on a floor stand it's quite easy to figure out that the power cable will not be that much noticed. I tend to be a little concerned about the remaining 3 speakers as they look like wall-mountable; hence, some power cables hanging down, I presume.

Well, since there is still some time until the Acoustic Research wireless speaker set hits the markets, I guess that more detailed specs will soon be available. Start saving the $799 you'll need to buy this very good-looking piece of gear!
