No more icicle fingers on the keypad

If you find it difficult to play on your phone or to call somebody having your gloves on, the Japanese could have solved this problem.

Cold climates won't be a problem anymore, with the new concept phone designed by Yuta Watanabe. I guess many had a phone like this in mind, but nobody has actually thought that it would be a reality soon.

Now, armed with your thick winter gloves you can easily send text messages to your friends or family. Well, if you live in sunny places this could seem pointless, but there are so many people out there that "suffer", because of a little problem like this.

The only thing is that, for now, this remains a concept and nobody knows when exactly the handset will become reality. The potential developers of this piece have to think first if this is a good idea after all. A climatically and even culturally designed phone may not be something what the world wants.

But then again, there are also enough cellphones on the market designed for old people. So, why not try something new? I wonder how a hot climate phone would look like? One that could fit a place like the Sahara Desert (should there be any GSM coverage there). I guess a "sand-free" pack is a must.

In any case, the Winter Phone will feature large buttons that will allow you to use your "gloved fingers" on the keypad. The buttons will also be arranged in an easy-to-press and easy-to-use way, so an effective communication can take place. One of the most certain things about this phone is that it will have a shell that's highly resistant to very low temperatures and extreme climate conditions.

Also, be prepared to see a bigger phone than the usual ones. No complete keypad will fit into a slim, tiny phone shell. Now that the concept is out, we're waiting for the real thing.
