I'm still a bit reluctant to actually say I'm feeling sorry for Amy Wino's husband, who is currently in jail and it seems that he will be staying put in the clink for at least another couple of weeks. I am definitely feeling sorry for the troubled singer, though, for falling for such a guy. The fact is, many people (especially friends of Amy's) have expressed hopes that while Blake Fielder Civil is away doing jail time, an intervention could be staged to help wean the singer off the deadly drugs she's been on ever since she got married.
Fielder-Civil was one of the five men arrested last weekend and was accused of taking part in a conspiracy to pervert justice through his alleged involvement in a 200,000 plot to fix a trial. Blake, along with his friend Michael Brown, were accused of brutally assaulting barman James King, which they subsequently attempted to bribe into changing his police statement (by offering him 200,000).

After the judge ruled that Amy's husband will not be going out anytime soon (another hearing will take place on November 26th), the singer left the court through the back door and was driven away in a silver BMW without speaking to reporters. But Mrs. Civil (Blake's mother) couldn't help herself telling us just how miserable Amy is without her husband. "Amy said she was devastated. She is so upset and keeps saying she can't be without Blake. We are absolutely gutted. We thought that Blake would be granted bail. We appealed to the court for that on condition that he stayed with his family in Nottinghamshire. Amy was happy with that arrangement and was prepared to float back and forth".
But no joy, it seems Amy will go home alone again and no one can make me feel it's a bad thing for her. "Blake has never been in the clink before and he'll be climbing the walls. None of us wanted to see him lose his liberty and Amy will go to pieces without him", said a friend of the two. However, I tend to be a little more optimistic - and I have a feeling Amy will do just fine on her own. Who knows, she might even get better and kick her drug habit altogether. But let's not hurry.
UpdateAmy Winehouse's husband has been moved to a prison medical unit because doctors are worried he will harm himself. On Saturday, immediately after being picked up, he was taken to London's Pentonville Prison, where he reportedly spent the first 24 hours sobbing uncontrollably. Doctors were forced to move him to the medical centre over fears that he would deliberately injure himself. A prison source told Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper: "He is in the unit for his own safety. We want to keep an eye on him. It's also a precaution because he could experience trouble from his fellow inmates".
