Over the weekend, the slimefest that is Nickelodeon’s annual Kids’ Choice Awards took place. Though Sandra Bullock, one of the most hyped appearances of this year, announced she wouldn’t be at the ceremony for personal reasons, the awards show went on as expected: with lots of laughter, slime and, of course, the big winners, as E! Online informs.

The biggest winners of the night were the once-rumored pair Taylor Lautner and Taylor Swift, with each taking home two awards. Miley Cyrus also won an award, as also did Michelle Obama, who was honored for her Let’s Move! initiative. Selena Gomez, Jay-Z and the Black Eyed Peas were also among the winners that got to take home the orange award.

“As per usual, nominees’ biggest liability was not being named Taylor, as both Lautner and Taylor Swift walked away the night’s biggest winners, with each teen dream scooping up two prizes. And sorry, Robert Pattinson fans, but the kids chose loud and clear: Team Jacob 2, Team Edward… […] Lautner, with a fairly big assist from Kristen Stewart, took home the Cutest Couple Award, along with the prize for Favorite Movie Actor. And while Pattinson provided direct competition in the first category, he wasn’t even nominated in the second. But he shouldn’t feel too bad. Not even Barack and Michelle proved to be a match for the power couple that was Jacob and Bella,” E! writes.

Surprisingly enough, “New Moon,” the second installment of “The Twilight Saga” did not win in the big Favorite Movie category, since the honor went to “Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel.” Michelle Obama had no reason to feel down either, since she too won an award: the newly created Big Help Award, for her fitness campaign centered on family activity, Let’s Move!.
