Alexandre Julliard has announced earlier today, September 13, that yet another development release of the mighty Wine software was available for download and testing.

Wine 1.7.2 improves the right-to-left text layout, introduces Negotiate and NTLM authentication for RPC over HTTP, and more glyphs have been added in the built-in Wingdings font.

Moreover, this development version of Wine improves the system tray support in the Mac driver, improves activation context, and fixes various bugs reported by users from previous versions.

Lots of other Windows applications have better compatibility with Wine. A complete list can be found in the official changelog.

Download Wine 1.7.2 right now from Softpedia. Remember that this is a development release and it should NOT be installed on production machines. It is intended to be used for testing purposes only.
