This is the first release candidate the new development brach

Wine 1.4 RC1, a new development version of the famous framework used to run Windows applications on Linux, has been announced by Alexandre Julliard, the leader of the Wine project.

This version is the first release candidate for the Wine 1.4 branch and represents an important milestone in the development of Wine (Wine Is Not an Emulator). Withour any further ado, here are the main changes:

· A crash dialog with support for saving the backtrace was improved; · The Back button in the built-in Internet Explorer has received additional support; · Keyboard accelerators can now be translated through po files; · A number of installer fixes were implemented; · A lot of  translation updates and tweaks; · Numerous bug fixes.

Download Wine 1.4 RC1 right now from Softpedia. Remember that this is a development release and it should NOT be installed on production machines. It is intended to be used for testing purposes only.
