Wine 1.3.35, a new development version of the famous framework used to run Windows applications on Linux, has been announced by Alexandre Julliard, the leader of the Wine project.

The DIB engine is one of the main target of the Wine 1.3.35 update, as triangular gradients and cosmetic wide pens now have support.

Beside this important change, the Wine dialogs can be translated through .po files, making the entire process a lot easier, scripts have been added to UniScribe, and Jscript is now using bytecode.

The games category also received a lot of attention, as usual: the Steam installer can be installed on a different path, Dead Space 2 activation on Steam is now possible, Sins of a Solar Empire Trinity no longer crashes, the frontend of Worms Armageddon is not flickering anymore, and Telltale launcher is usable.
