Windows Vista at Your Fingertips

- Microsoft Wireless Laser Desktop 4000

By: Marius Oiaga, Technology News Editor

Windows Vista at your fingertips does not fall short of what Microsoft is promising with the new desktop line extension. The Redmond Company's latest desktop aims to deliver a balance
between performance and comfort. The Microsoft Wireless Laser Desktop 4000 is a new hardware accessory for machines running Windows Vista and concomitantly another step in the expanding line of peripherals.

"Windows Vista has officially hit the market and we are excited to continue delivering the best hardware products to complement the dynamic computing experience of the new operating system," said Sean Butterworth, product marketing manager for Microsoft Hardware. "The Wireless Laser Desktop 4000 is the latest in our growing line of products optimized for Windows Vista and illustrates how we continue to diversify our product line to meet a broad range of consumers’ desktops needs."

As of April 2007, Microsoft will make the Wireless Laser Desktop 4000 available for an estimated retail price of $79.95. The Wireless Laser Desktop 4000 includes the Comfort Curve Keyboard design and the Wireless Laser Mouse 5000 high definition laser mouse.

Several Windows Vista specific functions and features will be only a key stroke away, giving true meaning to having the operating system at your fingertips. Among the characteristics available in this sense are the Windows Start Button that enables users to launch the Start Menu, the Windows Gadget Button delivering access to the applications of the Sidebar and the Windows LiveCall Button providing easy access to the instant messaging client.

Additionally, with the Wireless Laser Desktop 4000, customers will receive the Wireless Laser Mouse 5000 with Zoom capabilities, My Favorite and Customizable keys, the Instant Viewer and Magnifier tools.
