Just in case you missed it, close to the end of last week, Microsoft has expanded its PressPass Image Gallery. In Microsoft's view it's a resource designed for journalists, but in fact the are no
limitations. All users can access this resource and get a visual guide to top Microsoft products. For example, Microsoft has made available a collection of screenshots from Windows Vista, the 2007 Office System, Windows Mobile and Xbox 360 games.

According to Microsoft, the Image Gallery has been updated as of April 6, 2007. The Windows Vista screenshots enable users to view the desktop, the operating system's icons and the Media Center. Microsoft is also delivering and inside look into Windows Vista Starter edition, available only in third-world markets.

The screenshots for Office 2007 include Office Access 2007, Office Excel 2007, Office InfoPath 2007, Office Live, Office OneNote 2007, Office Outlook 2007, Office PowerPoint 2007, Office Word 2007. Users can additionally access Windows Mobile 6 Applications, Windows Mobile 5.0, Windows Mobile 5.0 - Microsoft Office Mobile and Windows Mobile 5.0 - Multimedia via the image gallery for Windows Mobile.

Microsoft is also offering the logos and screenshots for Xbox games through the image gallery for Xbox 360 titles. One other resource that I want to mention is the Product Boxshots. Microsoft offers six pages worth of images with the packagings for a variety of products including Windows Vista.

Although a collection of screenshots may seem redundant, the fact of the matter is that in some cases, like Windows Mobile for me, the galleries are a welcomed breath of fresh air and a laudable initiative from Microsoft.
