Nick White, Windows Vista Product Manager has revealed on the Windows Vista Team blog two examples of the upcoming operating system from Microsoft running on multiple GPUs. "We've gotten
lots of heat from the community for the lack of multi-GPU support in Windows Vista," he explained pointing out reports of ATI's Crossfire running in Vista.

At the GC 2006, ATI showcased at the company's stand, 3Dmark05 running across a number of three monitors. The Crossfire system complemented the latest version of windows Vista built for internal developers. Crossfire's showcase indicated similar driver performance with Windows XP while working in Super tiling mode and in Alternate Frame rendering mode.

At the basis of the presentation were two Radeon X1900 GFX cards. The only issue presented is that 3DMark and Vista's Aeroglass cannot work simultaneously on the same system. This means that Windows Vista enables its 2D desktop in order to run additional 3d applications.
