The consumer release of Windows Vista is approaching at fast pace, and is now only 4 days away. On January 29, 2007, Microsoft has scheduled the debut of the Windows Vista and the 2007 Office System celebration. In this regard, New York will be the epicenter of the "Wow starts now." The Redmond Company has gone all out for the January 29 event, both a celebration and a marketing campaign.

Then Microsoft revealed that the actual celebration of the combined launches of Windows Vista and the 2007 Office System will precede by a day the date that had been initially associated with the release, January 30.

For the marketing push of Windows Vista, Microsoft has contracted Cleveland Cavaliers guard LeBron James. Additionally, Microsoft Chairman Bill Gates will make a special guest appearance on the Daily Show. Monday 29, January, Bill Gates will sit opposite of Jon Stewart on Comedy Central. Gates' appearance on the "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart" coincides with the date when Microsoft debuts the celebration of Vista.

Additionally, Microsoft will kick-off the Windows Vista launch celebration in New York with a human billboard. The event is scheduled to take place at 9 a.m. Monday at the Terminal Building in downtown NY. The Windows Vista families that have participated extensively in the testing of the operating system will also be on location.

Microsoft has lined up a lunch reception at Cipriani, a Manhattan banquet room, a reception that will be followed by a launch celebration at 1515 Broadway in Times Square. At the time of this article there were 4 days, 14 hours 22 minutes and 51 seconds until the release of Vista.
