Windows Live meets Media Center, a delivery method that would expand online content beyond the boundaries of a PC

If you're thinking about the clown-fish, then stop! Home Premium and Vista Ultimate editions will be introduced with an add-on referred to as Codename Nemo. You have a preview of the GUI in the image on the left. A word of advice concerning this: the final product may correspond to a larger or a smaller degree to the adjacent picture.

Well, if it's not a clown-fish, then what is it? Well it's a service that integrates Windows Live Spaces, Messenger and Live Call into a graphical user interface tailored for large monitors and television sets.

"Nemo essentially creates a Windows Live Media Center, and is optimized for use by Microsoft Media Center remote, as well as keyboard. Of particular note is the 3D Gallery view for browsing Windows Live Spaces, shown below, presumably built using the new Windows Presentation Foundation that will be included in Windows Vista," reads a presentation posted on LiveSide.

Microsoft is essentially exploring an uncharted territory of next generation online services, but this may prove to be an advantage over Google and Yahoo. There also exists the possibility of integrating MSN Soapbox or MSN Originals into Nemo to increase its advertising appeal. Microsoft has not offered any specific official details regarding Nemo as yet.
