According to Neowin, a new version of Windows Vista is already available on the Internet, only a few days before the new test version.
The version available on the Internet has the number 5231 and contains the latest Internet Explorer beta and an updated Windows Media Player (version 11).
This month, Microsoft will introduce a
new CTP (Community Technology Preview) for Windows Vista, which will be available to testers. Although it will have the same number as the version which is already available on the Internet, it seems that it will include supplementary features.
Microsoft should also launch the Beta 2, which is expected to offer more details on the functions and options found in Windows Vista. Although the rumors claim that thus beta 2 might appear at the end of the year, Microsoft hasn't confirmed yet the release date.
After the Beta versions, Microsoft is scheduled to publish the Release Candidates, but their release hasn't been confirmed yet.
Since Microsoft is planning to launch Windows Vista somewhere towards 2006, it's likely that the Release Candidates versions will appear in next year's April or May.
