Windows Updates Downloader (WUD) 2.24 Build 875 enables Windows users to download updates from Microsoft. The tool was designed for users that have experienced difficulties in validating their copy of Windows XP, Windows 2003 Server, Office 2000 Professional or Office 2003.

Windows Updates Downloader will permit users to download not only critical security updates from Microsoft, but also service packs, applications, themes and all the additional offerings from the Redmond Company. In all the cases no WGA validation will be required.

The utility connects the user with Microsoft, and the updates that are downloaded are the official releases from the software juggernaut. According to the developers, Windows Updates Downloader 2.24 provides support for Exchange 2003, Office 2003, Office 2000 Professional, Windows 2003 Server and Windows XP. However, the existence of Microsoft .NET 2.0 Framework is mandatory for the functionality of the tool.

In order to install the updates, Windows Updates Downloader will redirect the users to an update list. Unlike Microsoft's automatic update process, this tool enables users only to manually install the software updates. WUD delivers a streamline graphical user interface. Once a user has selected the appropriate updates list, the utility will deliver a menu comprising all the patches in that list. The users must then select the updates to be installed via check boxes and then apply the patches.
