Windows Phone Mango, the next flavor of Microsoft's mobile operating system, is expected to become available for existing devices on the market in Taiwan as soon as tomorrow, some of the latest reports around the Internet suggest.

Starting with September 16th, Windows Phone users in Taiwan should be able to upgrade their devices to the new flavor of the platform, Microsoft themselves reportedly confirmed.

In a recent article, the guys over at WeLoveWP.hk (via WMPoweruser) report that Microsoft confirmed the move to Tech Days attendees in Taiwan.

What is interesting to note, however, is the fact that the update might not be delivered over-the-air, as previously expected.

Apparently, Windows Phone users are expected to head over to shops or other various locations to have the new OS flavor installed on their handsets.

It remains to be seen whether the same will happen in other markets around the world as well, since Microsoft has not delivered any details on how the update to Mango will be performed.

Of course, the exact release date for the software update remains a mystery as well, though most of the latest reports on the matter pointed at September 15th as the day when the roll-out begins.

Users in Taiwan might be receiving the new update starting with tomorrow, yet there are great chances that others will be testing it a few hours before that, starting later today.

One thing that is certain for the time being is that there has been a lot of hype around Mango's arrival, mostly due to the fact that there are hundreds of improvements for users to enjoy over the previous release of the platform.

The fact that more handset vendors announced plans to launch Windows Phones running under Mango made the platform even more interesting than it might have been before, and we're thinking Nokia here, but the OS itself promises a lot too, and enthusiasts are certainly interested in learning how much more it has to offer.
