Windows Phone Mango, the next version of Microsoft's mobile operating system, is set to arrive on the market with a great deal of impressive features, some of which are related to SkyDrive, the Redmond-based software giant unveiled last month.

Last week, the company unveiled additional details on this feature, providing specific info on what users can enjoy as soon as Mango is out on the market.

Not only would Windows Phone Mango offer direct and fast access to SkyDrive, but also support for specific actions, including the possibility to share photos via email, text, or IM, or to share videos on SkyDrive.

But this is not all, as users will also be able to browse through documents stored on SkyDrive straight from their devices, as well as to search for specific files on SkyDrive.

Moreover, the SkyDrive integration in Windows Phone Mango will also offer users the possibility to view video files that others have shared with them on SkyDrive.

According to Microsoft, over 70 percent of all the folders created on SkyDrive are being shared between users.

Thus, it is of high importance for users to be able to view what has been shared with them straight from the mobile phone in their hands.

The list will provide info on all of the documents that were shared, while also enabling users to open and edit in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint any files they would need opening.

You can learn some more details on the aforementioned features coming to Windows Phone Mango users via SkyDrive in the videos embedded at the bottom of this article. A presentation of these future enhancements is available below as well.

Here's what Microsoft says that SkyDrive on Windows Phone can offer:

Share photos stored on SkyDrive via email, text, or IM - SkyDrive lets you store thousands of pictures in the cloud. You can show them off to friends on your phone in the Pictures hub, and now you can share SkyDrive photos with anyone over email, text, or Messenger/Facebook.

Share your video on SkyDrive - With Mango, all the goodness you had with photos has been extended to videos. Once you’re finished shooting your video, you can caption it and share immediately on SkyDrive, and the upload will happen in the background while you move on to other things.

Browse your documents stored on SkyDrive - Windows Phone lets you view folders and files directly on your phone, so when you group things on SkyDrive, you know they’ll be available with the same folder structure on your phone.

Search your SkyDrive documents - If you store a lot of stuff on SkyDrive, being able to do a quick search is important. In the Office hub, you can easily search across your SkyDrive for the document you need without having to wade through your folders and other files.

Some of the previously presented enhancements that Windows Phone Mango should arrive on shelves with include a redesigned Music + Video Hub, along with improvements to the Games Hub, the new IE9 mobile browser, and more.
