Sam Kurd, who describes himself as an architect & CG artist, created a concept that offers Windows Phone a brand new look which not only that seems really modern but also really easy to use on phones with large displays.
While he suggests that his concept isn't necessarily inspired by Android, it surely looks this way, especially on the home screen, where widgets are all you get.
Transparency and eye-candy visual effects
One of the best things about this concept is that it makes the operating system a lot more visually appealing and uses elements such as transparency and animations to revamp the user interface.
Live tiles are still there, which proves that this concept isn't all about making Windows Phone look like Android, and it's clearly a sign that Microsoft could indeed make its mobile OS look more modern, without affecting the productivity side in any way.
Cortana is obviously available as well, as the personal assistant is expected to remain the core of the upcoming Windows Phone versions too. Cortana will also launch on the desktop, so Microsoft's own digital assistant will be available on all modern Windows versions, no matter the device.

As you can see for yourselves, this concept envisions a Windows Phone design that's very unlikely to make it to the final product, as Microsoft isn't yet ready to go for such a significant makeover of its mobile operating system.
On the other hand, more details about Windows Phone, as well as information regarding the features that could be part of this release, are expected to be provided on Wednesday, when Microsoft officially presents its Windows 10 plans for consumers.
