The platform could gain impressive market share moving forth

Google’s Android operating system has taken over the smartphone market. The platform is being loaded on the largest number of devices currently sold each day, and is expected to remain so for the next few years still.

However, when it comes to user satisfaction, things are not looking so great for the platform. In fact, they appear worse than you might believe.

Recent reports show that Microsoft’s Windows Phone platform is the leader when it comes to user satisfaction, and that RIM’s BlackBerry OS is trailing it.

Furthermore, Android is left out of the top-three list, as Apple’s iOS platform comes in after BlackBerry, a recent survey from Customer Think shows.

Last on the list is Symbian, which is already dying, since Nokia decided it would be wiser to go with Windows Phone moving forth.

Apparently, many users did not expect Windows Phone to deliver the experience it was capable of providing, which explains why the platform got such good satisfaction ranking.

As for Android, there has been great enthusiasm around the platform, but the end result was not as encouraging for many, it appears.

Launched in October last year as a major revamp of Microsoft’s plans for the mobile market, Windows Phone offers a great deal of features and capabilities that are in line with the need of modern users.

The UI is simple and easy to use, and there is also support for a great deal of services that make the delight of mobile users.

Not to mention that Windows Phone can keep people connected at all times with those who matter the most for them via social networking sites, phone, or classic messaging services.

With the release of Windows Phone 7.5 Mango, Microsoft showed that it could provide further enhancements to the mobile experience users receive from its OS.

More of these should arrive next year through new upgrades for the platform, helping it significantly increase its share on the smartphone market.
