Finnish mobile phone maker Nokia will be the first handset vendor out there to launch smartphones running under the upcoming Windows Phone 8.1 operating system, it seems.

In fact, the company is expected to reveal no less than two such devices, both of which have leaked online before under their codenames, namely the Nokia Goldfinger and Moneypenny, info coming from Twitter user @evleaks suggests.

“Nokia Goldfinger and Moneypenny are shaping up to be the first Windows Phone Blue devices,” the notorious leaker said in a recent tweet.

Windows Phone Blue, none other than Windows Phone 8.1, is expected to be officially unveiled in early 2014. It should arrive on existing WP8 phones in Q2 next year.

Previous reports on the matter also suggested that Nokia would launch a new flagship smartphone at the Mobile World Congress 2014 in Barcelona, namely the Lumia 1820, but no confirmation on this has emerged so far.
