Windows Phone 8X by HTC, the first smartphone that the Taiwanese mobile phone maker has brought to the market with Microsoft’s Windows Phone 8 platform on board, has just received a software update.

Pushed to handsets over the air, the update will bring the firmware on HTC’s 8X up to build 10211, and will also provide users with a new feature for advanced Wi-Fi settings, enabling them to “Keep Wi-Fi on when screen times out.”

The same enhancement was delivered to the Windows Phone 8S by HTC last week, and it seems that the vendor is keen on making it available for all of its Windows Phone 8 users as soon as possible.

According to WPCentral, the new update also comes with features such as SMS Drafts, Select all (for mass deletion) and SMS Call reject.
