Mobile phone carrier Verizon Wireless has cut the price tag for its Windows Phone 8X by HTC smartphone to only $99.99, with the signing of a contract agreement.

The phone was launched at $199 on contract, but Verizon has cut its price tag in half, at least for those who are making the purchase through its website.

Made official in September this year, Windows Phone 8X arrives at Verizon with support for 4G LTE networks, a 4.3-inch 720P HD Super LCD2 Corning Gorilla Glass 2 Display, and a 1.5GHz dual-core processor (1GB of DDR2 RAM).

It also sports 16GB of internal memory, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth and NFC capabilities, an 8-megapixel camera on the back, front camera for video chatting, and all the productivity and entertainment features that Windows Phone 8 has to offer.
