The company will bring new and popular games to the platform

In addition to the already announced new applications from Microsoft, the Windows Phone 8 platform is also set to get a taste of a dozen mobile titles from Gameloft, the popular publisher announced on Monday.

All these games have been optimized to fully benefit from the features that the Xbox ecosystem and services have to offer and they are expected to deliver a great experience to all those who will purchase devices powered by the new OS.

Some of the titles that will make Windows Phone users rejoice include Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour, UNO and Friends, Shark Dash, TexasPoker for Prizes and Fashion Icon, and more.

“Headlining the titles coming to Windows Phone is Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour, one of Gameloft's most anticipated titles for Christmas 2012. Since the launch of the Gameloft franchise in 2009, over 6.3 million copies of the game have been sold,” the company announced.

“Last year's installment, Modern Combat 3: Fallen Nation, has not only seen over 1.5 million monthly active users but is also the first mobile game ever to be made available in Major League Gaming US.”

Users looking for multiplayer titles will also have several games to choose from, including Asphalt 7: Heat, N.O.V.A. 3: Near Orbit Vanguard Alliance, Order and Chaos Online, UNO & Friends,TexasPoker for Prizes and Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour.

“Gameloft is thrilled to be able to take advantage of the integrated Xbox gaming service on Windows Phone 8,” said Baudouin Corman, vice-president of Publishing for the Americas at Gameloft.

The complete list of Gameloft titles coming to Windows Phone 8 includes: Ice Age Village, N.O.V.A. 3: Near Orbit Vanguard Alliance, Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour, Shark Dash, Asphalt 7: Heat, The Dark Knight Rises, UNO & Friends, Order & Chaos Online, The Amazing Spider-Man, Fashion Icon, Poker for Prizes, and Real Soccer 2013.

According to the mobile game publisher, all these titles will arrive with support for Windows Phone 8 devices from Nokia, Samsung and HTC, courtesy of partnerships with these vendors.
