Microsoft has big features in store for Windows Phone 8, but it hasn’t yet shared with us all that the upcoming OS can deliver to its users.

In fact, the company even said that it announced only a small part of the capabilities that Windows Phone 8 has to deliver to its users, but that more would be announced in the not too distant future.

One of these unannounced features could have something to do with the lock screen on phones running under the platform, rumor has it.

Spotted in a presentation video, these features could involve the presence of a notification system to inform users on what’s new straight from the lock screen, something available in Windows 8 now.

The company might also allow developers to take advantage of this system, though nothing on the matter is yet confirmed.
