Users will enjoy an updated interface, better contextual search

The owners of Windows Phone 8 devices should see an updated interface when accessing the Bing Search app on their devices, the latest reports on the matter suggest.

Apparently, Microsoft has quietly delivered an upgrade to the software, now offering only three tabs to users, namely Web, Images, and Video (down from 4 before), while also packing some changes to contextual search.

When searching for a specific place, for example, users will see in the results a map, while searching for a person brings up news related to it, should that be the case.

The previously available Media tab in Bing Search is now separated into Images and Video, while thumbnails for content are now bigger than before, it seems.

According to WMPoweruser, however, these changes can be observed only on Windows Phone 8 devices in the United States, though Microsoft might push them to other markets as well soon.
