Nokia Lumia 920 and Lumia 820 devices in the United States and Canada have started to receive an update to Windows Phone 8 “Portico” recently, and it seems that more flavors of these devices are bound to get a taste of it soon.

The update stated to be rolled out soon after it emerged in Navifirm, and the same software is now visible in that application for more variants of the two smartphones, MyNokiaBlog reports.

Nokia hasn’t provided a specific date for when the new OS upgrade would be delivered to its Lumia 920 and Lumia 820 handsets around the world, but users should expect it to be pushed to their units soon.

Following the update, users will benefit from a better Messaging experience, improved Bluetooth connectivity and various enhancements brought to the battery life, as well as from faster start-up.
