Owners of a Windows Phone 8X by HTC smartphone on Telstra’s network in Australia can now download and install a new software update on their devices, namely Windows Phone 8 Portico.
According to a recent post on auswinphone.com
, users have already started to receive the update on their handsets
, although Telstra hasn’t updated its support website to reflect that. However, the company did announce the release several weeks ago, it seems.
As WMPoweruser notes
, Telstra still has to make Portico available for its Nokia Lumia 920 users, something that might happen in about two weeks or so.
On HTC 8X
, the update should resolve the random reboots issue that had been hitting users before, and will also bring new Wi-Fi settings, along with the option to respond to calls with text.
