Nokia rumored to plan a new "Appetite" feature for the OS flavor

Before the end of this year, Microsoft is expected to announce a new flavor of its Windows Phone 8 operating system, one that should hit devices in the form of GDR3 (General Distribution Release 3), and which might also sport a notifications center, it seems.

Apparently, although the feature was said not long ago to arrive on devices only inside Windows Phone 8.1, Microsoft might have decided to release it sooner than that.

The info comes from NokiaPowerUser, which also notes that their tipster said that Nokia was also testing a certain feature called “Appetite.”

What remains to be seen is whether the aforementioned notifications center will be a full-featured solution from Microsoft or Nokia’s own take on the matter, given that no specific details on this are available as of now, as WMPoweruser notes.
