Owners of the Windows Phone 8X by HTC smartphone on the network of wireless carrier AT&T can now download and install a new software update for their devices, in the form of the Windows Phone 8 GDR2.

The new firmware weighs in at 207 MB and comes with revision number 3030.0.34101.502, AT&T notes on its support website, adding that users should consider downloading it over a WiFi connection.

Following the installation of the new OS flavor, users will enjoy support for LTE Bands 2 & 5 on their handsets, as well as FM radio capabilities.

Furthermore, the update adds Google Contacts (CardDav) and Calendar (CalDav) sync support, as well as a variety of enhancements to Bluetooth, music, and battery performance.
