Windows Phone 8-Based Samsung ATIV S on Pre-Order in the UK

Samsung will make its forthcoming Windows Phone 8-based ATIV S smartphone available in a wide range of markets around the world in the coming weeks, and the device is already listed on pre-order in the UK.

The phone has already been confirmed for the North American market, but that won’t be the only area where users might get the chance to purchase it starting with early November, that’s for sure.

In the UK, the handset is listed today at handtec.co.uk with a price tag of £479.99 ($770 / €594) attached to it, SIM-free and unlocked, but with no specific release date included.

The smartphone packs a 1.5 GHz dual-core processor, a 4.8-inch HD Super AMOLED screen, an 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back, complemented by a 1.9MP front camera for video calling, and 16GB of internal memory.
