Taiwanese handset vendor HTC Corporation is gearing up for the release of its first Windows Phone 8 devices, a move that is expected to take place sometime in mid to late September.

At least three such smartphones will make an official appearance on shelves in the coming months, one of which was previously rumored to feature the codename of Accord.

The same device has just got the first page of its user manual leaked online, unveiling some more info on what users should expect from it.

For example, the guide shows that HTC might have the new device marketed under the name of HTC 8X, or Windows Phone 8X by HTC.

The smartphone should arrive as a flagship device, the same as other “X” handsets from the phone maker did before it, though it would run Windows Phone 8, and not Android.

Previous reports on this phone suggested that it would be released with a 4.3-inch Super LCD2 capacitive touchscreen display that can deliver an HD (720p) resolution.

Inside, the new device would sport a 1.5 GHz application processor, a dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4, complemented by 8GB or 16GB of internal memory.

The mobile phone is also said to feature a microSD memory card slot that will enable users to expand the available internal memory, a feature that was not present inside previous Windows Phone models.

Other specs of this device would include an 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back, capable of full HD (1080p) video recording, and NFC (Near Field Communication) technology.

A recently leaked diagram of the phone, available to the left, also shows that users will enjoy a dedicated camera button on this device, a front camera, and the usual back, start, and search buttons at the bottom of the screen.

There’s no official confirmation on this device coming from HTC for the time being, but a formal announcement is expected in a couple of weeks, so stay tuned to learn more on the matter.
