With just a few months left until the alleged released of the Windows Phone 8.1, the first details on the upcoming operating system have already started to leak online.

We reported over the last couple of days on different screenshots showing parts of the new operating system, including the separate volume controls that will allow users to adjust applications' volume separately from the ringtones volume.

Anyway, the folks over at NokiaPowerUser report the Windows Phone 8.1 has just received Bluetooth certification. The approval is for the operating system itself and not for a mobile phone devices, which means we're one step closer of Windows Phone 8.1 release.

According to the certified specification, Windows Phone 8.1 will fully support Bluetooth 4.0 with LE (low-energy). The mobile platform received Bluetooth certification on January 31, but other than that no other details have been disclosed.
