A new Windows Phone 7-based mobile phone from Taiwanese handset vendor HTC is reportedly on its way to the market in the United States on the airwaves of Sprint, namely the HTC Mazaa, and some photos and specs of this device have just made it into the wild.

The new mobile phone seems pretty appealing, with a touchscreen display that would reportedly measure 3.7-inches while boasting a WVGA resolution, and with the usual three Windows Phone 7 buttons on the front, which appear to be capacitive.

On the back, the new device would include a camera with a single LED flash, as well as a speaker grill colored in red, which, according to rumors, could point at the handset being headed for Sprint.

One other leaked info on this device suggests that it might have been packed with DDR2

According to the news, the new Windows Phone 7 handset should be released on shelves in the next six months, though no official confirmation on this emerged for the time being.

What's interesting to notes is hints at possible GSM features packed with this device, which means that Sprint might launch it as a World Phone.

However, no specific details on the hardware specifications of this device emerged for the time being, and it remains to be seen what exactly it would pack inside. Rumor has it that it might be based either on the Wave 2 Chassis 1, or on the Wave 2 Chassis 2.

Over all, the new HTC Mazaa resembles the HTC Trophy smartphone, and might be launched as Sprint's own flavor of this device, which was said to arrive at Verizon Wireless as well.

However, it seems that the new device also resembles  the HTC Ignite device that leaked into the wild a while ago.

At the MIX11 conference in Las Vegas, Microsoft promised new handsets running under the next Windows Phone platform, and HTC Mazaa might be one of them, especially since its release is pinned for fall.
