The Windows Phone 7 operating system, unveiled officially by Microsoft during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona last month, will be detailed extensively during the MIX10 conference in about one week from now on, but a series of video demos with the OS can offer us a glimpse at some of its features right now. Among them, we can see how a game can be played on a Windows Phone 7 Series device and then continues on Xbox, how one can use Internet Explorer on a handset running the OS, and how a page can be turned into a tile, and more.

The guys over at WMPoweruser managed to stumble upon two video demonstrations of Windows Phone 7 OS available on the web, both of which come from TechEd Middle East. The first of them shows users how a game is being played on a Windows Phone 7 Series device, after being started on a desktop computer, and how one can finish the game on an Xbox. In other words, you will be able to play compatible games on which ever of the three solutions fits better. In addition, the video demonstration also delivers some details on the coding process, including the fact that 90 percent of the code will be shared between platforms.

The second video demo of the operating system shows that the Internet Explorer on a Windows Phone 7 Series device comes with some sort of suspending capabilities, as it shows a page already loaded when a user switches to the browser. This shows that the OS will include multi-tasking capabilities, something also suggested by the fact that one can transform a web page in a tile, which remains active in the background. Microsoft hasn't offered specific details on the multi-tasking capabilities of Windows Phone 7 OS, yet it seems that the functionality is there, and that it might get detailed pretty soon. MIX10 is only a few days ahead, and it seems that some pretty interesting announcements will be made at the conference, so keep an eye on this space to learn the news.
