Windows Phone 7 might have been off for a slow start, but the special offerings that handsets running under it were hit with lately might easily help the platform increase sales, that's for sure.

In case the $100 price tag that some WP7 device have at AT&T does not seem that appealing, you should check the special offering Amazon Wireless has in place for these phones.

All three Windows Phone 7 handsets at AT&T, namely Samsung Focus, LG Quantum and HTC Surround, are now available for purchase from Amazon for only 1¢ upon the signing of a two-year contract agreement with the wireless carrier.

Users who would like to take advantage of this offer should hurry up, as the promotion ends on January 17th, about ten days from now.

All three smartphones are listed on Amazon's website as being in stock, and all of them might ship within 24 hours from when placing the order, it seems.

Of course, this is not the first time we learn that Windows Phone 7 devices enjoy lower price tags on contract. AT&T themselves lowered the cost for two of them, namely the Samsung Focus and LG Quantum from $199 to only $100 several days ago.

These are not the only Windows Phone 7 devices available for purchase in the United States, of course, since T-Mobile too has some on sale for its customers, namely the HTC HD7 and the Dell Venue Pro.

“Purchase a new AT&T device and receive an activation-fee credit for up to $36 for each qualifying line of service activated on an upgrade or new 2-year individual account purchased from Amazon Wireless between 12:00 AM PST January 3, 2011, through 11:59 p.m. PDT, January 17, 2011,” the retailer notes on its website.

“This offer is sponsored by AT&T and is valid in the United States and Puerto Rico. Activation-fee credit will appear on your bill and may take several billing cycles to appear. Standard early-cancellation fee and other up-front and monthly charges and fees may apply,” the company also states.

Those who would like to benefit from this promotion for Windows Phone 7 on AT&T should head to Amazon's website here for the Samsung Focus, here for the LG Quantum, and here for the HTC Surround.(via BGR)
