Earlier this week, mobile phone maker Nokia officially confirmed that the Windows Phone 7.8 update for its Lumia devices would be pushed to users starting with early 2013, yet it seems that it can already be grabbed through the company’s Nokia Care locations.

These support centers are available in parts of Europe and in India, and they are said to be willing to upgrade Windows Phone 7.5-based Lumia handsets to the newer platform release when requested.

The platform update has already been spotted on Nokia’s servers for Lumia 900, 800, 710 and 510, which means that it is indeed available for the company’s Nokia Care services.

Apparently, users can check with their local centers to see whether the update can be installed on their Lumia devices or not. Officially, the update will become available for download only next year.
