14 DAY TRIAL // A new interim version of Windows Mobile 6.5 has recently leaked on the web, namely Windows Mobile 6.5 Build 23045, seeming to bring forth a series of visual changes compared to the previously leaked builds. September 3, 2009 is the day when the build was compiled, and those willing to give it a try should find it around the web on different download sites.
According to Redmond Pie, the main features of the new Windows Mobile build are connected with the visual experience it can deliver to users, though we need to say that other enhancements can be spotted. The news site also delivers a series of screenshots with the new Windows Mobile 6.5 Build 23045, which have emerged courtesy of XDA-Developers.
Here's what the changelog for the new Build 23045 includes: - Text-based buttons on the bottom bar are now replaced by icon-based buttons which makes the experience look good, and more finger friendly than ever before. (see the screenshot for the comparison between Build 23045 and Build 23409) - Almost all issues with fonts and pictures in Titanium have been fixed. - Improved memory management. - Faster and more responsive. - Numerous other bug fixes.
Previously leaked builds of the Windows Mobile 6.5 operating system showed the changes that Microsoft preps for the platform. As stated before, these interim releases seem to pave the road towards a future flavor of the OS, which might come to the market as another Windows Mobile 6.x version, or could eventually turn into the next-generation Windows Mobile 7, due sometime next year.
As it usually happens with leaked WM 6.5 builds, one should expect for cooked ROMs with Build 23045 to surface in the near future.
