This is the invitation that Microsoft has presented to users that access Windows Live Spaces, messenger and Lice Call via large-screens monitors and TVs. In this context, the Windows Live for TV
Beta is a graphical interface. If you have been keeping your eyes on Softpedia you have already been able to read details about Windows Codename Nemo way back in October 2006. Well, Windows Live for TV is a limited beta for Nemo. "We're still in the early stages of this beta, so many of the features might not work properly yet. That's why we really need your feedback! This beta is in limited release, so you must request access to the trial group," revealed Windows Live Ideas.

Due to the early beta stage, some of the features of Windows Live for TV will not be available, but Microsoft will add capabilities to the service as the development progresses. According to Windows Live Ideas, Windows Live for TV can best be defined as a 3D browser application that will enable users to connect among them via Windows Vista Media Center or Internet Explorer 7. Additionally, Windows Live for TV will allow users to:

■ Browse millions of Spaces in rich 3D graphics with new Gallery views and full keyword search
■ Find out what your friends have been doing and saying on Windows Live Spaces
■ Have real-time text and voice conversations
■ Call your friends' mobile or landline telephones by signing up with Verizon Web Calling to make affordable domestic and international calls
■ Easily navigate with yout mouse, keyboard or a TV remote (remote navigation requires Microsoft Media Center Remote and IR)
■ Make free PC-to-PC calls to other Windows Live Messenger users.

Windows Live for TV is designed to integrate seamlessly with Windows Vista. But there are some limitations in this aspect, as Windows Live for TV requires either Windows Vista Home Premium or Ultimate. According to Microsoft, users of Windows Vista Ultimate RC2 will be able to run Windows Live for TV.

Here are Windows Live for TV's system requirements:

Minimum 800 MHz processor
Minimum 1 GIG of RAM
30 MB of hard disk space to install the application
15 MB to of hard disk space to run the application
Direct 9-class GPU that supports:
A WDDM driver
Pixel Shader 2.0 in the hardware
32 bits per pixelMicrosoft Media Center remote and IR adapter
Microsoft Internet Explorer version 6 SP1 or later must be installed, although it does not need to be your default browser.
A speaker and headphone for PC-to-PC phone and video calling

Optional: TV output capability required for TV display render
