Microsoft continues to remain mum on the availability deadline of the first Beta development milestone of Windows Live Wave 4. Various third-party sources, as well as indications and leaks from the Redmond company are pointing to June 2010 for a possible release date for Windows Live Wave 4 Beta, but, according to a new piece of information from Microsoft Australia, users might not have to wait that long. It appears that the down under branch of the software giant is planning to unveil Windows Live Messenger Wave 4, Windows Live Mail Hotmail Wave 4 and Windows Live Essentials Wave 4 in just four days, on May 18th, 2010.

“NineMSN invites you to an exclusive lunch briefing hosted by Alex Parsons, Director of Marketing and MSN Products, to unveil the next evolution of Hotmail and Messenger,” an invitation that Microsoft Australia sent bloggers down under, courtesy of IStartedSomething, reads. It is unclear from the message sent to journalists when Microsoft plans to also unveil the next generation of Windows Live Essentials, Messenger included, and Windows Live Hotmail to the general public, but the company does mention upcoming significant announcements.

“Ahead of significant announcements revealing the upcoming changes to Windows Live, we will provide a sneak peek of the new version of Hotmail and explain how the upgrades will help 8 million Australians who use Windows Live to stay in touch with people who matter most to them,” it is added in the invitation.

At the same time, it is unclear whether Microsoft will also be hosting similar limited sneak peeks of Windows Live Messenger Wave 4, Windows Live Mail Hotmail Wave 4 and Windows Live Essentials Wave 4, for members of the press in additional markets around the world. However, considering the message sent by Microsoft Australia, such a scenario is indeed very plausible.

Furthermore, Microsoft’s preview of Windows Live Wave 4 could remain private until the Redmond company decides that it’s time to go public with the information. One thing is clear, however, the software giant is gearing up to release the first public Beta of Windows Live Messenger Wave 4, Windows Live Mail Hotmail Wave 4 and Windows Live Essentials Wave 4.
