Microsoft is looking to upgrade all of the users of Windows Live Hotmail to the Wave 4 release by the end of this week, per the plans that the company made public the past week. More and more customers with Windows Live Hotmail accounts will notice that they have been upgraded to the latest iteration of the email client, and be able to take advantage of the new features and capabilities in the coming days if they haven’t done so already. And with the rollout process of Windows Live Hotmail Wave 4 being close to finish, the Redmond company published a range of content designed to allow users to make the best of the latest version of the email service.

“The efficient way to do email - The new Windows Live Hotmail comes with smart tools to help you save time and get more done. Cut through inbox clutter, filter junk automatically, and work with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint files right from your email for free—even if you don't have Microsoft Office installed on your PC,” Microsoft explained.

There are three topics that the software giant chose to highlight: keep junk mail out; use Office in Hotmail; and save time and get more done. However, there is additional information on the site that can act as a guide to the new Windows Live Hotmail Wave 4. Microsoft is also offering info on how to get started, organize your inbox, and even on how to stay more secure.

“Hotmail helps you keep junk mail out using Microsoft SmartScreen, the same technology that businesses and governments use to protect their email. And Hotmail gives you a virtual broom to sweep unwanted email out of your inbox,” Microsoft stated. “View, edit and share Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote files right in Hotmail for free—even if you don't have Microsoft Office installed on your PC or Mac. With Hotmail, you can send up to 10 GB in attachments and get content and updates from sites like LinkedIn, Flickr, and YouTube—without leaving your inbox.”
