Microsoft is hard at work to fix Windows Live Hotmail. The Redmond company is struggling with a variety of problems associated with the service. Windows Live Hotmail is the cocktail of Windows Live Mail and MSN Hotmail, the two brands having been mixed in May, as Windows Live Hotmail came out of the testing phase. In mid August, Microsoft delivered an update to Live Hotmail increasing the storage space to no less than 5GB for free
accounts. On top of the storage size boost, the August update also delivered a collection of new features.

Now Microsoft is simply tending to some functionality problems reported via user feedback. In this context, the Redmond company has now an entire team working on issues connected with the integration of the service with the Firefox and Safari browsers. Users of the Mac OS X native browser have reported that they are locked out of Windows Live Hotmail by a continuous loop presenting them with the following message at the end: "sorry, we can't sign you in at this time." Microsoft acknowledged the problem and promised to deliver a resolve by the end of this week. On top of this, the Redmond company is also working to resolve issues with Hotmail users losing their data after long periods of inactivity.

"Can't Upload Attachments. Based on our initial research, the majority of attachment upload failures are because the attachments are too large and the upload process simply times out with a very ungracious error which doesn't tell you to chunk up the attachment, send it through Messenger or try the SkyDrive beta (where you can upload photos, videos, etc., then point people to that virtual drive rather than moving attachments back and forth. We've made some product fixes to give you more feedback about attachment size but, until that's release, if you get an error uploading an attachment and the file is more than 10 Mb, chunk it down or send it another way (or try SkyDrive beta)," revealed a member of the Email Support Space.
