Are you a Windows Home Server user? Then here is your chance to provide feedback directly to Microsoft. The Redmond company is welcoming all customer input related to Windows Home Server, and is pointing users to an online survey via Constat. However, it’s not just about feedback. Fact is that the survey is focused on usage and satisfaction of existing customers. And customer is the key word. Those users who are simply test driving Windows Home Server by running the trail version of the operating system will find that the survey will be cut short, even if they only managed to complete under 10% of it.

“Customer feedback regarding usage and satisfaction of Windows Home Server is very important to our team. This feedback helps us improve how we promote the product, better understand how people are using the product, and determine what functionality we can build into future updates to increase satisfaction,” revealed Steven Leonard, from Windows Home Server Marketing.

Users who actually acquired Windows Home Server will be able to share their full experience of the product with Microsoft. There are no less than three versions of the survey, tailored to speakers of English, German and Japanese, but users from additional markets around the world can also respond. This is not Microsoft’s first initiative of this kind, as the Redmond company also ran a survey in 2008.

“Did you know… That most English language users found out about Windows Home Server through a blog or online product review, versus magazine or newspaper articles for German language users? That product “features and specifications” was widely regarded as the most important factor, followed distantly by price, when it comes to Windows Home Server purchase? That media sharing/streaming was the feature that could most help increase overall Windows Home Server customer satisfaction?” Leonard asked.
