The Start Screen settings could thus be imported on another PC with ease

Windows Blue, the major Windows 8 overhaul coming this summer, is very likely to include a brand new Start Screen feature that would allow the Start button replacement to be imported on another computer.

The Start Screen synchronization option has been discovered by Paul Thurrott of WinSuperSite.com, who wrote that signing in with the same Microsoft account on two different computers running Blue should be enough to replicate the color scheme, the pinned tiles and their sizes from one system to another.

At this point, the “Sync” option in Blue’s Control Panel doesn’t seem to work, not only because it’s just an early build of the operating system, but also probably because Microsoft is trying to keep some options away from our eyes.

If reports are true, Windows Blue should be here by summer, while the first public beta might arrive in time for the BUILD developer conference in late June.
