In addition to plenty of other changes, Windows Blue will also come with several new pre-installed Modern apps developed by Microsoft, as we can all see in the build that got leaked a few hours ago.

Microsoft is currently preparing a major update for the built-in Windows 8 Metro apps, just in time for the Blue release, but it seems that the company is actually working to bring some new solutions to the market as well.

This early Windows Blue build also comprises a new calculator, an audio recorder, an alarm utility and a so-called Movie Moments application that could actually be a Metro version of the popular Windows Movie Maker.

Given the fact that this is only a very early leaked build, we can’t tell for sure whether all these apps will make it to the final version of the operating system or not, but one thing is for sure: Microsoft is betting big on the Metro UI, and providing users with many more high-quality apps has become a priority.
